Panelist bios:
Greg Silva is a Human Resources Business Partner with over 20 years of experience in a variety of industries including E-commerce, Media, Retail, Non-Profit and Manufacturing. Currently he is the VP of HR at IGN Entertainment (IGN, a division of News Corporation, is a global leader in three business verticals media, digital distribution of games and game technology) in San Francisco and prior to his current role he was the Director of HR at Netflix for 8 years. Greg has successfully helped these organizations define and bring to life their company values, talent team and a culture of high performance.
Greg's personal time keeps him busy with his wife and twin daughters who will be going off to college next fall.
Michele Spenker has been with National Semiconductor for the past 15 years in a variety of Human Resources roles which involve close partnerships with engineering, marketing & sales and corporate groups. With prior experience in organizational development, change management, leadership development and employee relations, Michele is now focusing on strategic staffing initiatives supporting both domestic and international staffing challenges.
Jennifer Mengel is a Regional Account Manager for PrO Unlimited, a global contingent workforce management company. During her time with PrO Unlimited she has managed both domestic and international contingent workforce programs. Most recently Jennifer has taken on the additional role of working with Product Management to provide a client and field services perspective in the development of new software and products.
Jennifer has 15 years experience in leadership and management roles and including 12 years in staffing and contingent workforce management.
To help balance her life Jennifer is an avid scuba diver and sailor.
Sonya Hanson is the Director of Talent Acquisition for Blue Coat Systems in Sunnyvale. She has over 15 years of experience in the staffing industry in roles ranging from agency recruiter, corporate contract recruiter, to Staffing Manager and Director of a global recruiting team. Prior to Blue Coat she worked at Synopsys for 12 years in a variety of roles focusing on building a high functioning internal staffing team.
In Sonya's spare time she teaches aerobic classes and ran the SJ Rock & Roll Half Marathon on October 3rd.
